Type 2 Diabetes - Your Bit In Controlling Your Condition !

Type two diabetes is a condition that can oftentimes be managed through good diet and exercise alone. Although medication is sometimes required, there is a lot that you can do to prevent further complications and to hold off on prescription treatment for as long as possible. Much more than diabetes type 1, type 2 is highly responsive to lifestyle changes. Especially if one has been consuming in a diet of high fat, high sugar foods and has not undertaken much exercise in the past, they will very likely see a major improvement once they make some positive changes.

 

Type ii diabetes is characterized by the body’s inability to properly process insulin. Insulin is generated by the pancreas and has a critical role in keeping an even blood sugar level. When food is eaten, insulin is produced and then signals sugar to be taken out of the bloodstream in order to be put into the body’s cells. Both forms of diabetes are due to a malfunction of this system, but in very different ways. Type 1 Diabetes occurs when the body is unable to produce insulin. Due to this, they are required to regularly administer the substance to make up for their insufficiency. This keeps the whole system running smoothly.

 

However, Diabetes 2 is quite different. With this condition, one’s is able to produce insulin, but the body does not properly recognize it. Therefore, one’s blood sugar level never gets regulated as it does not get the signal to transfer the sugar from the blood stream to the cells. Although heredity has a part in the predisposition to this condition, it is, more often than not, poor lifestyle choices that are responsible for its development. Luckily, this means that it can be controlled and prevented as well.

 

Especially if you have genetic risk factors, such as a medical history of diabetes, if you are over 35 years old, or had a low birth weight, it is important to pay attention to the foods that you eat and to maintain a healthy weight. More than anything else, committing to healthy food and lifestyle choices can help in regulating blood sugar and possibly even curing the disease. Although the exact cause is not yet known, it is well documented that leading a healthier life which includes a nutritious diet as well as a good amount of exercise, allows you to have a great amount of control over preventing and managing diabetes type 2.

Could You Spot An Anxiety Disorder?

Anxiety attacks, or panic attacks as they are more or less the same thing, are on the increase. Who knows whether it’s our modern more stressful way of life or not. But the fact remains they are causing more and more people no end of problems.

Could you spot if you were having a panic or anxiety attack? That’s a difficult question to answer as the symptoms are quite wide ranging and can vary from mild to the downright frightening. You may just feel a bit of a hot sweat. But you may also feel like your heart is bursting out of your chest.

I guess if you were having the second type of symptom you’d be very aware you need help to put this right. If your symptoms are mild though, you may not even realise it’s a panic or anxiety attack. This could be a warning sign that things are about to get worse, much worse.

The first (bad) panic attack my wife suffered was actually while she was driving. It wasn’t the fact she had suffered an attack that hit her worst, but the fact she could easily have hit and killed someone or maybe even herself. It won’t do anyone any good to dwell on this type of scenario.

If you have been feeling a little off lately, maybe suffering any of these symptoms…. Difficulty sleeping, a bit on edge or anxious, can’t concentrate, constantly irritated or fidgeting a lot. Having any of these mild symptoms could be a warning sign.

But before you actually have a panic attack thinking about those symptoms let me put your mind at ease. There are many normal things that can cause symptoms like those. And you shouldn’t worry about them. An ill fitting item of clothing can cause you to fidget and too much coffee (caffeine) will definitely disrupt your sleep.

But before we dismiss everything it’s still safer to be sure you aren’t a panic attack victim. You can take an anxiety symptoms test which may give you a better idea. All you do is tick a few boxes with either yes or no and total your score at the end.
