Become an Astrologist and Have a Richer Future

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Damages that have been made in the past are things that can either be lived with or be repaired. That is why the past is really not something that people must be afraid of.  What can keep people on their toes, though, are the unforeseen. What can give them so much anxiety is the future. That is the reason why they do anything possible to manipulate the present to ensure a favorable future.  Many times, they just get frustrated after finding out that all the preparations are for naught when the events unfold not as expected.Others would look for astrologists to ask for help.

Astrologists are able to foretell the future as they study the alignment of the stars, moon, and the other heavenly bodies. With this, they can have a daily forecast of things that are going to happen.Since people are afraid of the negative possibilities in the future, they would like to learn much about it before it happens. In this regard, to become an astrologist means helping people deal with what’s unknown and by preparing them at the present.

Before you decide to become an astrologist, you have to believe firmly in astrology.Although a few people still are skeptical about it, many have now considered it as a science.  In fact, quite a number of newspaper readers do not want to miss reading their fortune for the day through the horoscope, a printed divination of many syndicated astrologists. Most astrologists didn’t start their career with profits in mind. You can do the same thing by studying astrology in satisfying your needs or those of your friends. However,if you have seen your predictions become accurate, then it must be that your fate is to become an astrologist.

You can make use of your knowledge and skills in the field of astrology as you help people accept and prepare them for their future and at the same time earn money. You can turn it into a great career.Even if everyone has the ability to study literature in astrology, not all people have the talent and skill in reading people’s future. The stars and fate must must approve it first.Hence, there are not so many astrologists.  You may be one of these few gifted people. With more and more people who worry about their future than those who can read it for them, you will surely have a lot of people waiting for consultation.

To become an astrologist, you can opt to enroll ina formal course in astrology. You can also choose the shorter yet more convenient and just as efficient route. This can be done by self-learning as you download books and other resources to guide you in the process. You can look for websites on astrology, pay a minimum fee, and then go straight to downloading copies of these.

The Effectiveness Of Todays Bipolar Medications In The Treatment Of Bipolar Disease

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

The best treatment methods for bipolar disorder include a combination of counseling and medication. The majority of psychiatrists use a combination of medications to separately treat the depression and the bipolar mania. Ongoing psychotherapy is an important part of treatment for bipolar patients, and has a greater impact that drugs alone.

Bipolar and Treatments

It is not as easy as people think to treat bipolar. There is always a trial and error with the different bipolar medications. And watch for reactions to each medication. And you can’t change medications right away. It just takes time.

Treatment of Bipolar Mania and Depression

If you or a relative is afflicted with mania, a psychiatrist can give you a prescription for an antipsychotic medicine such as lithium or benzodiazepine, to control the insomnia, being hostile, over activity, and oversensitivity. A mood leveler might be included with the previously mentioned medicine, but for bipolar depression, lithium can be taken because it is an anticonvulsant and antipsychotic drug. This mixture of medicines are mostly to change the moods without bringing on a bipolar manic attack.

Treating Bipolar Symptoms

A typical bipolar remedy is continuous therapy combined with a mood stabilizer. The medicines for bipolar disease consist of lithium, carbamazepine, or valproic acid /divalproex ) and are frequently taken as a mixture with an antipsychotic medicine. People who use this treatment have an amazing decrease of bipolar outbreaks, including 8% less suicide and suicide attempts. When mania sufferers are given antipsychotic medicines alone or at the same time as benzodiazepine medicines, this includes a mood stabilizer. People who have bipolar depression take a mixture of quetiapine, olanzapine, or lamotrigine and mood-stabilizers. When some doctors treat bipolar disease sometimes mix or change mood stabilizers. It is rare that antidepressant medicine is used with depression since it might cause mania attacks. All antidepressant medicine has to be mixed with one or more mood stabilizers or antipsychotic medicines to avoid bipolar mania attacks.

The Dangers of Antidepressants

Antidepressants are often not effective in treating bipolar disorder because they can set off manic episodes and have other undesirable side effects. Although newer generations of antidepressants seem to work better at adjusting the amounts of serotonin and norepinepherin in the brain, doctors are still averse to prescribing them. In addition, antidepressant drugs should not be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Lithium is safe for pregnant women and their unborn babies, but some anticonvulsants used to treat bipolar disorder may cause birth defects. Bipolar medications are most effective when combined with psychosocial therapy.

Depressive Disorder Symptoms And The Eight Faces

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

It is therefore important that victims of bipolar, parents, friends and co-workers know how to recognize the eight groups of bipolar symptoms in a depressive mood. To seek help at the appropriate time for your friend or a loved one, be certain to educate yourself so you can have an early diagnosis which is critical with this mental disease.

Decrease in Energy: There is nothing mysterious about this bipolar symptom. It is simply not having much energy when compared to the previous week or month. A month ago you still felt good and strong enough after work. Most nights you can go out for a run and a dinner, but now you notice that you have run out of steam every day say at 3:00 p.m. Other members of the family, your friends or those working with you have noticed the loss of energy. You have actually stopped what you used to do.

Fatigue ” Because of the vigorous action or efforts by the mind it becomes weary: Depression can cause physical fatigue and decrease in energy. Sleeping should make us feel refreshed, but with bipolar victims they become tired and unrefreshed. Every morning can be both difficult and tiring. Some on the other hand may have a different experience, during the day they are full of life but, once they get home they feel they have no more energy left.

Lethargy - state of being drowsy and dull, listless and unenergetic, or indifferent and lazy: It is a very serious symptom. They are unusually drowsy or lethargic - spending hours just sitting in a place and totally unresponsive and simply uninterested in doing anything because their feeling and mind is quite heavy.

Diminished Activity ” Feeling of less important: This is usually caused by the loss of energy, being tired and listless. In other cases it may occur independently of those symptoms. If their level of activity begins to drop or non existence” an example will be she leaves her washing undone, or unable to do the simple things like raking the garden then, you know they have a symptom of bipolar.

Insomnia - inability to obtain sufficient sleep: Lying awake worrying, unable to get comfortable, feeling tensed or just having too many going on in the mind. Sleeping can be a big and tiring task.

Hypersomnia ” sleeping too much: People in depressive episodes can sleep for hour and yet get tired when they get up. They just want to sleep.

No more Interest in Pleasurable Activities: You are turning down your friends invitation to go fishing because you used to love it.  Mary loves to relax by sewing but, now she would not be bothered. Your son John has season tickets to the football but has been staying home, and when you ask, he just says, “I don’t want to go.” It may be easier for others to spot than for the bipolar person to notice the problem with this symptom.

Social Withdrawal: Because a lot will depend on the bipolar person’s personality, it may be easier to describe bipolar symptom, than to notice it. You may be able to notice the symptom when they stop going to social functions, this if the person is an outgoing person. No one will be able to realize that the withdrawal symptom is more serious if the person is a well known “loner.”

Some Other Changes

There may be other changes in activity not listed above which may also come with bipolar depression, but the eight listed above are those that are most commonly associated with the depressive episodes of depression.

The Mind

Bipolar Disorder: Treatments and Medications

This mental illness is a serious disease that should be treated with careful management. It is important that this disease should be treated immediately as soon as the signs and symptoms appear. There are two main focuses of treatment; psychotherapy (non medicinal) and medication (prescribed drugs).

Psychotherapy

To help them control their emotions better, this type of therapy is useful especially for those going through mood changes. Medication is usually prescribed for bipolar symptom to normalize with extreme cases where psychotherapy is not enough.

Depression and Medication

Neurotransmitters such as “serotonin” and “norepinephrine” are the special chemicals used by the different parts of the brain to exchange information. Although not  proven that low levels of serotonin and norepinephrine cause depression in bipolar, it is believed that the increase level of these chemicals are linked to the depressive mood in people. Psychiatrists prescribe antidepressants drugs, to lift up these brain chemicals.

Common Antidepressants

In the market today are many groupings of drugs available but, the two popular antidepressant  groups are:

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) Increases the brain’s level of serotonin, and when this chemical is increased the mood improves.

Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOI) very effective in fighting depression.

Warning

The risk of overdose for some of these drugs can be lethal and if it says avoid certain food or alcohol, please adhere to the strict warning. So all bipolar medication must be used strictly as prescribed by physicians or your doctor. Look after your life it is both important and precious.
